expert bushcraft training

Spread over two days in scenic mid-Wales, the Learn Bushcraft Skills course is designed as an introduction to bushcraft that covers a range of subjects in a practical hands-on way. Run by expert Bushcraft practitioners and instructors, we cover important topics and offer workshop activities such as:

• selecting the right type of tools for Bushcraft and the safe use of knives and cutting tools

• how to build a safe campfire and how to light a fire quickly and efficiently without matches

• how to build practical multi-person parachure shelters

• how to carve basic wooden implements

• building useful pot and pan stands

• practical campfire cooking with wild foods and rustic bread-making

• learn how to navigate using natural references

• learn how to forage for wild food

• stargazing on a clear night and optional torch-lit night walk

The workshops will vary from sedate fire-side tutorials to more active ones – but please note, this is not an adrenaline-fuelled experience! This is a chance to learn interesting and valuable skills in a stunning farm location hidden away on the banks of the River Wye, with the additional bonus of being able to watch the local wildlife, chill out in a tree house and relax around the campfire at night. You can get involved as much or as little as you like.
